Josie Perea, MSW, LISW

Psychotherapist, Reiki Master, Quantum Dynamics Teacher, Mentor and Emotional Processor

Josie has lived in Las Cruces, New Mexico since 1973. She has provided clinical counseling for children, adolescents, adults and families since 1989.

She began studying Psychology and Social Work at New Mexico State University in 1984 and graduated with a double major four years later in 1988. From there she continued working towards obtaining a Master of Science degree in Social Work, which she acquired in 1992. Shortly thereafter in 1995, Josie became an Independent practitioner and is currently licensed as an Independent Social Worker.

Josie became a SHES Minister in 2000. She has completed the three Degrees in the Usui System of Reiki Healing and became a Reiki Master/Teacher in 2001. She studied Quantum Dynamics (QD) for three years with Master/Teacher and Founder of QD, Jim Dvorak, to learn how the emotional body works and how to release emotional upsets, traumas and blocked emotions quickly with QD. She became an initiated QD teacher in December of 2005.

She has done intensive studies with Donna Eden and David Feinstein in the areas of energy medicine and energy psychology, and has trained in advanced Pranic Healing and Pranic Psychotherapy with master Stephen Co.

She has also been trained in a variety of alternative counseling techniques and tools such as Thought Field Therapy (TFT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Clinical Hypnosis, Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT), Be Set Free Fast (BSFF), and Conscious Energy Breathing.

Josie uses a holistic approach to counseling. This approach is based on the belief that our mind, body, emotions, and spirit all interact to create our health and well-being. To heal one part we must acknowledge and address all the others. She is devoted to assisting, coaching and supporting individuals, especially women, in their journey to complete healing, self-discovery, and spiritual evolution; to their power, wholeness and total freedom. Her enthusiasm, warmth, love and intense commitment in assisting people in healing themselves enables her to be one of the most dynamic, caring, compassionate, effective and fun practitioners you will ever encounter.
